Preparing for the Fulbright

I am getting set up for my Fulbright Summer Teacher Seminar that will take place in Tubingen Germany starting June 6, 2010. I will follow this up with a visit to two German schools with the goal of establishing relationships and exchange opportunities between these German Schools and the University School of Milwaukee Upper School. The schools are in Borna, near Leipzig, and Neuruppin near Berlin. I will be staying with faculty and presenting about the University school and Milwaukee. I will also explore the possibility of collaboration between the USM Global scholars and students at Borna and Neuruppin in participating in the NAIS sponsored Challenge 20/20 competition.

Ancillary goals include catching up on political, social and economic trends in Germany, the impacts of globalization on Germany's export driven economy, and delving into the differences and similarities between the German educational system and American.
